HOLIDAY INN CITY CENTRE  FULLY BOOKED

While only a 15minute walk to the convention centre this hotel has a very quiet feel, sitting on the banks of the Avon river and fringe of the CBD.  There is a beautiful garden area where you can unwind in the sun, also restaurant and bar.  While the rooms look a little older than the Holiday Inn City Centre they are still well appointed and the hotel offers 24hr reception, room service, business services, guest laundry, heated indoor pool, saunas and a gym.

This is a very funky new hotel in the centre of the city, 10 – 15min walk to Convention centre and 2min walk to Unlimited meeting/workshop venue.  This new style of accommodation offers very compact yet extremely well thought out and appointed rooms with very stylish fitouts.  Most rooms have no windows, this eliminates any noise from outside, and have very comfortable beds.  All rooms have large screen tvs, hi speed internet and there is a communal kitchen available to all guests with communal dining area/lounge.  There is also an excellent restaurant and bar on site.  Gym, sauna and laundry facilities also available.

The YMCA has a range of rooms from dormitories to fully self contained apartments. It sits in a beautiful location, situated between Hagley Park and the Arts Centre and is a 10min walk to the Convention centre.

Excellent location only minutes walk away from convention centre.  This new complex comprises studio, one and two bedroom apartments all tastefully furnished many with small kitchens, some with spa baths.  There are only 13 units in total so be quick if you want to reserve a place here.  Very quiet rooms for an inner city location.

This place is excellent value for money.  Located in the centre of town and only 15min walk to Convention centre these apartments are very clean and well appointed with fully equipped little kitchens.  The building has communal lounges, laundry facilities and helpful staff.  Apartments can be serviced for an additional fee.

2008 winner (best NZ Hostel) at the Golden Backpack awards Base Christchurch offers a variety of rooms with private and shared bathroom facilities. There are luxury Sanctuary rooms for girls only,and other rooms available for all. A friendly, clean place to stay with 24 hour reception and global gossip internet facilities, 2 kitchens, a spacious TV room, dining room & outdoor sundeck with BBQ and a travel shop for enquiries and bookings. The helpful, local staff will ensure you enjoy your stay.  

With a range of options available from dorms to twin ensuite rooms there is something for everyone on a budget.  15minutes walk to convention centre, youth means young at heart and all are welcome here.  The hostel has international standards of comfort and security (all rooms lockable), large fully equipped kitchen and dining areas, internet and email access, TV lounge, laundry facilities and games room.  All bedding is provided and there are shared and single sexed bathroom facilities situated on each floor. St Andrews is a fantastic location for anyone who is on a tight budget or likes some green space around them.  Situated in beautiful park like setting it is a very quiet and peaceful place to unwind.   Although this is our cheapest option the facilities are clean and well looked after.  The rooms are light and very spacious, bathroom facilities are shared, and there are large communal lounges, TV lounges and laundries in each of the three boarding houses.  Tea, coffee and toast making facilities, bed linen and towels are provided. There are lockable wardrobes in each room, one per person, you just need to bring your own lock.  
The college is a little further away than the other hotels/hostels listed (3.2 km) but public transport is very good between here and the convention centre with busses running every 15min both ways.
Breakfast is available on site and can be booked with your accommodation for $8 per person and is casual self service style continental breakfast including two hot dishes.
St Andrews is a 100% smoke free area.
